FAB10 Barcelona is the tenth international conference and annual meeting of the Fab Lab network. Fab10 Barcelona will gather the international Fab Lab community from more than 150 laboratories based in more than 40 countries, who share tools, projects, programs and processes in an open and collaborative philosophy.
Fab Labs are digital fabrication laboratories equipped with state-of-the-art technologies which aim to democratise access to personal (and collaborative) manufacturing, and invention. Fab10 Barcelona aims to scale up the impact of Fab Labs in cities and human settlements, and will gather experts, citizens, industries and governments from all over the world.
FAB10 Barcelona is open to anybody from Barcelona, Europe and the world who is interested in the applications and implications of digital fabrication.
FAB10 is organised by Fab Lab Barcelona | IAAC and the Barcelona City Council, in collaboration with MIT’s Center for Bits and Atoms, and the Fab Foundation, there will be a full week of workshops, conferences, exhibitions and a symposium about digital fabrication.
Activities will be focussed on three primary themes -

Fab10's activities will be held in several different venues around the city of Barcelona. You will be able to participate in a range of locations from the beaches to the mountains.

The conference will run through the first week of July. The list below details an outline of planned events, this page will continually evolve as more details are made available so please check back soon.
The symposium will include talks from experts in digital fabrication alongside influential city planners from around the world.

Aside from the conferences and fab lab tours, there will be an assortment of activities that you can get involved with. This year we will even be building a Fab House!
Each day various Fab Lab managers and lab associates will gather to share knowledge and hold discussions.
During the conference Barcelona will be home to the world's largest Fab Lab (approx 1000m^2), which will house many different exhibitions and activities.
There will also be a contest for innovative projects created within the Fab Lab ecosystem.
An exhibition from 100 Barcelona-based entrepreneurs and makers, as well as a contest for objects created under the theme of 'The Internet of Things'.
The third iteration of the Fab House prototype will be produced and assembled as a collaborative project during the week of the conference.
A program designed to introduce the endless possibilities of Fab Labs to the younger generation.
